C-SPIN has undertaken randomized trials designed to find new ways to prevent embolic stroke and to formally evaluate new strategies to increase the uptake of new and existing stroke prevention interventions at the community level. The projects address different, yet complementary ways to prevent embolic stroke. These trials will also improve our fundamental understanding of the multiple causes of embolic stroke; especially of the relationship between AF and stroke.
